Mammoth is different from other studios. Designed by film crew, we take pride in the details so you can spend more time shooting and less time setting up.
We are based in central London and have a huge dedicated car park and yard for all your crew and production vehicles. Each studio has twin loading bays allowing for quick unloading and to prevent bottlenecks. Our stylish productions rooms have in-built monitoring ready to go and blazing fast 4gbps internet for rapid file sharing or streaming. Studio 1 has a best in class motorised rig with socapex already installed and Studio 2 has 5x steel trolley tracks for bespoke overhead rigging, perfect for set builds. Our on-site production equipment store has you covered for those last minute requests and our studio cafe serves award winning coffee from our local roaster Elsewhere.

Do you have a studio floorplan?Yes. We have a selection of floor plans for you to view and download, also full technical specifications on our homepage.

Where is Mammoth Film Studios located?We are based in South East London. Our address is: Unit 3, Huntsman House, 2 Evelyn St, London SE8 5DQ. We are easily accessible via public transport, with on-site parking available.

Is there parking on site?Yes, we have dedicated on-site parking for crew, talent, and production vehicles. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We also have multiple loading bays for each studio.

What are your standard hours?We operate 24/7 as required for studio bookings. Standard hours are between 7:00 and 00:00, studio hire surcharges are in effect after midnight and on weekends. Our regular office hours are 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Is there parking on site?Yes, we have dedicated on-site parking for crew, talent, and production vehicles. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Can we fit large vehicles and HGVs on the site for loading?Yes, large vehicles and up to 18t HGVs can access the site to load/unload. Each studio has two dedicated loading bays.

What is the minimum booking duration?The studio is hired based on a standard 10 hour day. Overtime is always available.

Are your studios soundproof?No. Our studios are not soundproof but offer good sound insulation and are typically sufficient for audio recording. We would advise you to recce the studio to ensure it meets the requirements of your project.

What is the power specification?Studio 1 has 200a 3ph incoming supply; this includes 3ph sockets for 125a/63a/32a. Full specification is available on our website. We have also run socapex to the three overhead truss systems and have a selection of distribution boxes available for hire via Cinelight. 13a power is available in all the production rooms.

Are your studios blackout?Yes, our studio is fully blackout. Studio 1 is default a white infinity space but includes wrap around blackout drapes. Studio 2 is a black box space as standard.

What is the Wi-Fi speed at your film studios?We have a dedicated super high-speed 4Gbps Wi-Fi available, suitable for large data transfer, live streaming and remote production monitoring. Our standard inclusive wifi is up to 1Gbps.

What rigging system do you have?We have installed a 40x40ft box truss motorised grid in Studio 1 with a UDL of 1 tonne. There is also a 40ft straight section at the front and back of the stage. Both are motorised, the section at the front is on a trolley system which can be moved forward and back 7m. Studio 2 has 5x 15m steel beam sections in parallel for bespoke rigging installation. Included are 20x travel trolleys with manual chain hoists.

Do your studios offer tea and coffee?Yes, we have a dedicated studio cafe serving locally roasted coffee from Elsewhere and a great tea selection.

What are you payment terms?A £500 deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is invoiced after your project on 30 day terms. Additional costs incurred will be included as part of this invoice.

How do I book a studio?Contact us and we will send you a booking form to complete. This will require you to enter your basic booking details and pay a £500 deposit to secure your booking period.

Can I recce the studio before booking?Yes, we offer studio tours by appointment. Contact us to arrange a visit. You can also use our 'virtual tour' on the website which allows you to navigate the studio in 3d.

How do I pencil the studio?Click the 'pencil' button on our homepage and it will bring you through to a simple online form where you enter your basic shoot information. We will then keep you notified on the status of your pencil enquiry until you book or release the option.

Is the studio available to hire for events?Yes. Please get in touch to discuss your event.

What health and safety policies do you have in place?We have produced a comprehensive set of policies to help you with your shoot which are included as part of our 'Production Pack'.

Are we allowed rigging, SFX or stunts?Yes. The studio must be notified of all rigging, SFX and stunts which are allowable subject to review. More information is available on this within our Production Pack.

Are you virtual production capable?Yes, our studio facility lends itself well to virtual production and we are able to provide solutions for all size of LED screen requirement. The large size of our space and advanced overhead rig makes it a great environment for virtual production.

Do you support live streaming?Yes, we support live streaming solutions with our dedicated 4Gbps high-speed internet and custom SDI & ethernet ports distributed around the studio.

Who is your production equipment supplier?We have a big selection of in-house production equipment available for your shoot, either pre-ordered or available on the day for your convenience.

Who is your catering supplier?Honest Foods are our exclusive supplier for on-set catering.

Who is your motion lighting supplier?Cinelight is our exclusive motion lighting supplier.

Who provides teas and coffees?We have an in-house cafe in Studio 1 that is the exclusive supplier of teas and coffees.

For this commercial we needed a film studio big enough for our set build with a motorised grid already in place for lighting. Shooting at Mammoth made this easy to arrange and the agency loved the space too.
